OWLET BLUE blue light glasses protect your eyes from harmful blue-violet light emitted by computers, tablets and mobile phones. They are resistant to scratches, reflect glare and dust.
Effects of blue light on the eyes
Blue light causes fatigue, insomnia, headaches and problems with concentration and vision. But it can also cause permanent damage to your eyes (loss of central vision and blindness).
When should we wear blue light glasses?
Blue light generally energizes you, helps you concentrate, improves your mood – all good things for the day. But when the day ends and you want to relax in the evening, blue light can disturb you. Most people will benefit most from wearing blue light protection glasses in the evening while watching TV or any screen.
Some people also find that blue light blocking glasses can help reduce eye strain, blurred vision and headaches from staring at screens while working. The Owlet Blue model perfectly blocks harmful blue light.
Why choose Owlet Blue glasses and not others?

Key findings of research into the effects of blue light on humans
- Research published in the "International Journal of Ophthalmology" reveals how blue light affects eye health. The main points are:
- The refractive media of the eye, such as the cornea, iris, pupil, and anterior and posterior chambers, transmit light differently at wavelengths less than 300 nm.
- Light with a wavelength between 300 and 400 nm can penetrate the cornea and then be absorbed by the pupil or iris.
- Particularly harmful is high-energy blue light with a short wavelength between 415 and 455 nm. This light can directly penetrate the eye and cause irreversible photochemical damage to the retina.
- These short wavelengths create a focus in the front of the retina rather than in the center. This can cause eye fatigue and reduce learning and work efficiency.
